Bushwise campus
Just imagine it: every day you wake up in the African bush, to the sights, sounds and smells of nature. You’re miles from the nearest stores. In the distance, you can hear a lion roaring. Birds start their morning serenade as you get out of bed and begin your day. While the kettle boils and other field guide students join you in the kitchen, the sun begins to crest the horizon, welcoming another day in Africa. You’re on a Bushwise campus, and this is your home for six beautiful months.
All Bushwise campuses are located in or have easy access to Big Five reserves, such as the Greater Makalali Game Reserve, Greater Kruger National Park and Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve. Our Mahlahla and Kempiana campuses are within secure electrified fences, so you’re protected from predators as you walk between buildings. You can even go for a walk or jog! Our Sabi Sabi Campus has a single electric line to prevent elephants from entering, offering a very immersive bush experience.
At all of our campuses, your essential needs are taken care of – from coffee in the morning, to meals, laundry, and even Wi-Fi. Studying facilities are provided including a library of reference books and access to our incredible training staff. You’ll go on game drives and bush walks and join lectures either in a classroom or around campus. Living in the bush means you’re constantly observing and experiencing nature!
